colorba.se does it differently. Pick a color from the grid, paste a code, or use the color picker. You instantly get the whole scale: steps toward white going up, steps toward black going down, plus scales for saturation and hue. Let your eye choose instead of doing the math.

Click a swatch and the code lands on your clipboard — in hex, rgb, hsl or oklch. Anything you have already copied gets a checkmark, so you can see what you tried and what actually made the cut.

The contrast values show how the color holds up against black and white at the AA and AAA accessibility levels, so text stays readable for everyone — including future you at 3am.
